Abstract
Provided is an ink jet recording paper having an ink receiving layer comprising a high absorption pigment and a binder provided on at least one side of a base paper comprising wood pulp and a filler, with the ink receiving layer having a coverage rate of from 0.5 to 5.0 g/m.sup.2 per side of the base paper and a contact angle of from 80 to 100 degrees measured using a liquid having a surface tension of 40 dyne/cm.
Claims9
An ink jet recording paper having an ink receiving layer comprising a high absorption pigment and a binder provided on at least one side of a base paper comprising wood pulp and a filler, said ink receiving layer having a coverage rate of from 0.5 to 5.0 g/m.sup.2 per side of the base paper and a contact angle of from 80 to 100 degrees measured within 0.1 second after dropping a liquid having a surface tension of 40 dyne/cm, on the ink receiving layer, wherein the wood pulp comprises at least 20% of L-BKP having the Runkel ratio of from 1.0 to 3.0.
