Immunogenic LHRH peptide constructs and synthetic universal immune stimulators for vaccines

A method for treatment of androgen dependent carcinoma which comprises administering a composition comprising a peptide represented by the formul a

• (A).sub.n -(T.sub.h).sub.m -(B).sub.o -LHRH
• wherein A is independently an amino acid, an invasin domain (SEQ ID NO:53) or an immunostimulatory analog thereof derived from variant strains of Yersinia spp.;
• B is an amino acid;
• each T.sub.h is independently SEQ ID NO:2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, or 51;
• LHRH is luteinizing hormone releasing hormone or an immunogenic analog thereof containing a conservative amino acid substitution;
• n is 0, 1 or 2;
• m is 1 to 4;
• and
• o is 0, 1 or 2;
• or said composition comprises a mixture of the peptides.

A method for suppressing the activity of LHRH in a mammal which comprises administering a composition comprising a peptide represented by the formula

• (A).sub.n -(T.sub.h).sub.m -(B).sub.o -LHRH
• wherein A is independently an amino acid, an invasin domain (SEQ ID NO:53) or an immunostimulatory analog thereof derived from variant strains of Yersinia spp.;
• B is an amino acid;
• each T.sub.h is independently SEQ ID NO:2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, or 51;
• LHRH is luteinizing hormone releasing hormone or an immunogenic analog thereof containing a conservative amino acid substitution;
• n is 0, 1 or 2;
• m is 1 to 4;
• and
• o is 0, 1 or 2;
• or said composition comprises a mixture of the peptides.

A method of suppressing LHRH activity in pigs, dogs, cats or stallions to reduce boar taint in male pigs, castrate cats or dogs or stallions by administering a composition comprising a peptide represented by the formul a

• wherein A is independently an amino acid, an invasin domain (SEQ ID NO:53) or an immunostimulatory analog thereof derived from variant strains of Yersinia spp.;
• B is an amino acid;
• each T.sub.h is independently SEQ ID NO:2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 42, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47, 48, 49, 50, or 51;
• LHRH is luteinizing hormone releasing hormone or an immunogenic analog thereof containing a conservative amino acid substitution;
• n is 0, 1 or 2;
• m is 1 to 4;
• and
• o is 0, 1 or 2;
• or said composition comprises a mixture of the peptides.
