Abstract
A catalyst system of the structured type is described wherein a structured support is covered with a layer of molecular sieve crystals having substantially the same orientation relative to the support surface. Also disclosed is a reactor in which the catalyst system may be disposed and a method for the selective reduction of nitrogen oxides utilizing a compound comprising a NH group.
Claims13
A catalyst including a structured support having a layer of molecular sieve crystals chemically bound thereto, said layer being non continuous with the main axis of the crystals being chemically bound to the support at an angle of at least 45.degree. , thereby allowing an open space to be present between the molecular sieve crystals in the direction of the support so that they are accessible to substances which are to be converted under the influence of the catalyst.
