Abstract
A multiple phase emulsion or gel including a water phase within at least one oil phase in which either or both of the phases contains one or more chemical moieties selected from a group consisting of organic compounds that have multiple hydroxide functionality, cholesterol, lecithin, multiple valent metal ions, saponified organic acids, unsaponified organic acids, saponified organic bases, unsaponified organic bases, nonionic surfactants and amphoteric compounds. The water and oil phase is also within a second water or oil phase in which the second water or oil phase is obtained by mixture of chemical moieties selected from a group consisting of organic acids, tall oil products, organic bases, phosphates, sulfates, nonionic chemicals, amphoterics and betaines.

A multiple phase emulsion or gel, comprising:
- a water phase within at least one oil phase in which either or both of said phases(s) contains one or more chemical moieties selected from a group consisting of organic compounds that have multiple hydroxide functionality, cholesterol, lecithin, multiple valent metal ions, saponified organic acids, unsaponified organic acids, saponified organic bases, unsaponified organic bases, nonionic surfactants and amphoteric compounds;
- and
- said water in oil phase is also within a second water or oil phase in which the second water or oil phase is obtained by the mixture of chemical moieties selected from a group consisting of organic acids, tall oil products, organic bases, phosphates, sulfates, nonionic chemicals, amphoterics and betaines, wherein the pH of any said water phase has a pH range of greater than 11 or less than 4.
A multiple phase emulsion or gel, comprising:
- a water phase including:
- water of a weight percentage between 7 and 9 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- an oil phase including:
- vacuum tower bottoms of a weight percentage between 55 and 75 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- lecithin of a weight percentage between 0.3 and 0.4 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- aluminum sulfate of a weight percentage between 0.3 and 0.4 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- ethylene oxide nonyl phenol of a weight percentage of 0.5 and 1.5 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- and
- a second water phase including:
- water of a weight percentage between 17 and 19 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel to produce a water in oil in water emulsion.
A multiple phase emulsion or gel, comprising:
- a water phase including:
- water of a weight percentage between 7 and 9 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- an oil phase including:
- vacuum tower bottoms of a weight percentage between 55 and 75 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- lecithin of a weight percentage between 0.3 and 0.4 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- aluminum sulfate of a weight percentage between 0.3 and 0.4 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- crude tall oil of a weight percentage between 1 and 2 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- borax of a weight percentage 0.4 and 0.6 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- sodium hydroxide (NaOH) of a weight percentage 0.2 and 0.4 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel;
- and
- a second water phase including:
- water of a weight percentage between 17 and 19 of the multiple phase emulsion or gel to produce a water in oil in water emulsion.
A multiple phase emulsion or gel, comprising:
- water phase within at least one oil phase in which either or both of said phases(s) contains one or more chemical moieties selected from a group consisting of organic compounds that have multiple hydroxide functionality, cholesterol, lecithin, multiple valent metal ions, saponified organic acids, unsaponified organic acids, saponified organic bases, unsaponified organic bases, nonionic surfactants and amphoteric compounds;
- and
- said water in oil phase is also within a second water phase in which the second water phase is obtained by the mixture of chemical moieties selected from a group consisting of organic acids, tall oil products, organic bases, phosphates, sulfates, nonionic chemicals, amphoterics and betaines, wherein at least one of said water phases has a pH less than 4 and at least one other of said water phases has a pH of greater than 11.
