Abstract
A plasma sterilizable fabric which is subjected to charging, for example electrostatic charging, is provided. Plasma sterilizable fabrics may include nonwovens and laminate nonwovens. The plasma sterilizable fabrics may also be treated with an antistatic material before or after subjecting the same to charging.

A method of manufacturing a fabric comprising plasma sterilizing a charged fabric.
A method of manufacturing a nonwoven fabric comprising
- plasma sterilizing a charged nonwoven fabric and
- treating the nonwoven fabric with an antistatic material.

A charged, plasma sterilized fabric having a bacterial filtration efficiency of at least 94%.
