Abstract
Method of producing metal sheets or strips by cold reduction rolling of a metal sheet or strip with at least one pair of work rolls, at least one of which being a textured work roll in order to transfer the surface pattern of the textured work roll to the surface of said sheet or strip, characterized in that said pattern of the textured work roll consists in a bidimensional deterministic pattern of spots wherein each spot has the form of a crater with a rim around it.

A metal sheet, including a strip, comprising:
- a surface having a textured surface pattern including a regular bidimensional deterministic pattern of spots, where each spot is an indentation surrounding a protuberance and wherein a waviness of the surface has wavelengths substantially lower than 0.6 mm.
A device for producing metal sheets, including metal strips, comprising
- a cold reduction roll mill having a pair of work rolls where at least one roll of the pair of work rolls in the cold reduction mill has a texture of surface pattern, the surface pattern including a bidimensional deterministic pattern of spots, where each spot has a crater surrounded by a rim.
A method of producing metal sheets, including metal strips, by cold reduction rolling, comprising:
- providing a pair of metal work rolls, at least one of the work rolls having a surface textured pattern including a bidimensional deterministic pattern of spots, each spot having a crater surrounded by a rim;
- rolling the metal sheet between the pair of work rolls so as to transfer the textured pattern from the at least one of the work rolls to a surface of the metal sheet.
