Abstract
An air-curing composition is disclosed which contains an acetoacetate functional polymer and an end-blocked polyformaldehyde chain. The composition is stable to reaction until the formaldehyde is released from the polyformaldehyde chain.

A shelf stable, air-curing composition comprising an acetoacetate functional polymer, a metal drier, and a polyformaldehyde chain endblocked with autoxidizable end groups, said polyformaldehyde chain having from 1 to 14 formaldehyde units and being liquid and soluble in the acetoacetate polymer, stored in the absence of atmospheric oxygen.
