Abstract
A compound having the formula: ##STR1## wherein, R1 represents 2'-O-R.sub.3 -thio-R.sub.3 and/or 2'-C-R.sub.3 -thio-R.sub.3, wherein R.sub.3 is independently a moiety selected from a group consisting of alkyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, alkylaryl, carbocyclic aryl, heterocyclic aryl, amide and ester, X represents a base or H; Y represents a phosphorus-containing group; and R2 represents H, DMT or a phosphorus-containing group.
Claims12
An enzymatic nucleic acid molecule comprising a modified nucleotide, wherein said modified nucleotide has the formula:
- ##STR3## wherein, R1 is independently 2'-O-R3-thio-R3 or 2'-C-R3-thio-R3, wherein said R3 is independently a compound selected from a group consisting of alkyl, allyl, alkenyl, alkynyl, aryl, alkylaryl, carbocyclic aryl, heterocyclic aryl, amide and ester;
- X is independently a base or H;
- Y is independently a phosphorus-containing group;
- and R2 is independently a protecting group or a phosphorus-containing group.
