Abstract
This invention discloses the incorporation of a peptide QRQYGDVFKGD (SEQ ID NO:1) from glycoprotein gE of Varicella zoster virus into a protein or polypeptide sequence for immunoisolation, immunopurification and immunodetection.

A chimeric protein comprising a protein linked to one or more heterologous peptide tags wherein said peptide tag, or tags, has the amino acid sequence, SEQ ID No. 1, and wherein said chimeric protein binds to antibody to said peptide tag.
