## Abstract

Peptides isolated from the bovine posterior pituitary gland are useful for the control of intestinal motility.

## Claims

### Claim 1

An electrophoretic homogenous Coherin A product prepared by the process comprising
(a) subjecting Coherin to continuous flow electrophoresis under conditions effective to separate therefrom a fraction having the ability to control intestinal motility and exhibiting the following characteristics:
(i) .lambda. maximum at 274 nm at pH 1;
(ii) .lambda. maximum at 240 nm and 290 nm at pH 11;
