## Abstract

Intermediate compounds represented as formula (I) useful for the synthesis of 16-phenoxy-prostatrienoic acid derivatives and a preparing method thereof are disclosed. ##STR1## wherein R is tetrahydropyranyl, tetrahydrofuranyl, 2-ethoxyethyl, t-butyldimethylsilyl, triisopropylsilyl or triethylsilyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen or ester-forming group; P is hydrogen, trimethylsilyl or tri-n-butyltin; and wavy line means epi-stereoisomeric mixture.

## Claims

### Claim 1

A compound represented as formula I: ##STR7## wherein R is tetrahydropyranyl, tetrahydrofuranyl, 2-ethoxyethyl t-butyldimethylsilyl, triisopropylsilyl or triethylsilyl group; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are independently hydrogen or an acetyl group; P is hydrogen, trimethylsilyl or tri-n-butylin; and the wavy line indicates an epi-stereoisomeric mixture.

### Claim 2 (depends on 1)

The compound in accordance with claim 1, wherein the R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are acetyl, and the P is hydrogen.
