Abstract
Carbonaceous materials based on the fullerene molecules have been developed which allow for superconductivity. The fullerene materials are soluble in common solvents.
Claims1
A superconducting device, comprising a body of superconducting fullerene material selected from the group consisting of Cs.sub.3 C.sub.60, K.sub.3 C.sub.60, and Rb.sub.3 C.sub.60, leads attached to the material for passing an electric current throughout the material, and temperature control means for maintaining the material below its superconducting temperature.
