Abstract
High performance polymer compositions comprising orthoester or orthocarbonate functionalized olefin polymers and polyphenylene ethers, polyamides or combinations thereof, and the compositions unexpectedly display improved impact resistances and/or decreased delamination.
Claims4
A method for making high performance compositions comprising the steps of:
- (a) precompounding carboxylic acid, maleic anhydride, epoxide, trimellitic anhydride acid chloride or molecular oxygen functionalized polyphenylene ethers with orthoester or orthocarbonate functionalized olefin polymers;
- and
- (b) subsequently adding polyamides thereto.
