Abstract
The invention relates to new 1,4-dihydropyridine derivatives of the general formula I ##STR1## in which R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and n have the meaning stated in the patent claims. The compounds of the invention have a vasodilatory effect and are therefore suitable for the treatment of hypertension. Some of the compounds have a vasoconstrictory effect and can therefore be used for the treatment of hypotension.
Claims7
A 1,4-dihydropyridine compound of the formula ##STR8## wherein R.sup.1 is nitro or trifluoromethyl, chlorine or two chlorines in 2 and 3 position,
- R.sup.2 is branchless or branched saturated C.sub.1 -C.sub.8 -alkyl or a group of the formula--W--O--Z, whereby W is branchless C.sub.1 -C.sub.3 -alkylene and Z is branchless C.sub.1-3 -alkyl,
- R.sup.3 is methyl or ethyl and
- n is an integer of the value of 1, 2 or 3.
The compound 2,6-dimethyl-4-(3-nitrophenyl)-5-(2-tetrahydropyranyl)-methoxycarbonyl!-1 ,4-dihydropyridine-3-carboxylic acid-2-N-(1,2-benzisothiazolyl-3(2H)one-1,1-dioxide)!-ethylester.
