Abstract
The invention is related to a nucleic acid sequence encoding a MD06 Marek's Disease Virus protein. Such a protein can be used for the immunization of poultry against MDV infection or disease. The nucleic acid sequence encoding the MD06 MDV protein can be applied for the preparation of the protein by means of genetic engineering techniques or can be applied for the preparation of vector vaccines.
Claims6
An isolated polypeptide comprising at least one immunogenic determinant of a MD06 MDV protein having an amino acid sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:2 or a functional variant thereof.
An isolated MDV polypeptide comprising an immunogenic determinant encoded by a nucleic sequence comprising at least part of the DNA sequence shown in SEQ ID NO:1.
