Abstract
A liquid resin having a number average molecular weight of 10,000 to 200,000 and a viscosity, measured at 50.degree. C., of 500 to 30,000 cps, obtained by the copolymerization of a composition containing (a) 35 to 98% by weight of a monomer of the formula, CH.sub.2 =C(R.sup.1)COOR.sup.2 wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methyl and R.sup.2 is a hydrocarbon group having 4 to 22 carbon atoms, (b) 2 to 40% by weight of a polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid, and (c) 0 to 60% by weight of other polymerizable vinyl monomer.

A liquid resin having a number average molecular weight of 10,000 to 200,000 and a viscosity, measured at 50.degree. C., of 500 to 30,000 cps, obtained by the copolymerization of a composition containing
- (a) 35 to 98% by weight of a monomer of the formula
- Ch.sub.2 =C(R.sup.1)COOR.sup.2
- wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methyl and R.sup.2 is a hydrocabon group having 8 carbon atoms,
- (b) 2 to 40% by weight of a polymerizable unsaturated carboxylic acid, and
- (c) 0 to 60% by weight of other polymerizable vinyl monomer.
