Abstract
Methods for improving the bioremediation of soil and other organic material that has been contaminated by hydrocarbon waste are disclosed.
Claims10
A method for reducing the volatility of hydrocarbon waste from a compost pile, comprising the steps of:
- a. providing a compost pile comprising hydrocarbon waste;
- b. introducing a nonmicrobial hydrocarbon adsorbent to said compost pile;
- and
- c. adsorbing said hydrocarbon waste with said adsorbent.
