Abstract
A solid solution composition comprising a) a 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidinyl compound having a low molecular weight; and b) a 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidinyl compound having a high molecular weight that have been mixed in the melt, is an excellent stabilizer for polymeric materials.
Claims10
A homogenous solid solution consisting essentially of:
- a) a first 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidinyl group containing compound;
- and
- b) a second 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidinyl group containing compound having a higher molecular weight than the first 2,2,6,6-tetraalkylpiperidinyl group containing compound,
- wherein the ratio a):b) is 1:9 to 3:7.

A homogenous solid solution consisting essentially of a) and b) in the ratio 1:9 to 3:7 wherein:
- a) is ##STR26## where p.sub.1 is 14-16 or ##STR27## where m is 4-30 and
- p is 4-30.
