Abstract
An image processing apparatus including an input unit for inputting a plurality of coded image data from a plurality of external devices, a generating unit for generating image data for one image plane by composing the plurality of coded image data inputted by the input means without decoding the plurality of coded image data, and a decoding unit for decoding the image data for one image plane generated by the generating unit.
Claims9
An image processing apparatus comprising:
- a) input means for inputting image data, coded by a predetermined compression coding method, from a plurality of external devices, wherein said predetermined compression coding method comprises a block-coding method in which an image is divided into blocks each having a predetermined size and then coded on a block unit basis;
- b) generating means for generating coded image data for one frame by synthesizing, on the block unit basis, the plurality of coded image data inputted by said input means without decoding the plurality of coded image data;
- and
- c) decoding means for decoding the coded image data for one frame generated by said generating means.
