Abstract
The present invention provides new sources of taxanes and other metabolites from members of the order Coniferales that are not in the genus Taxus.

A method of producing taxanes, the method comprising contacting plant tissue from a member of the order Coniferales with a composition which extracts taxanes, wherein the plant tissue is not from Taxus spp.
