Abstract
The present invention relates to tetrakisazo dyes of the general formula I ##STR1## in which ##STR2## and R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, M.sup..sym.1 to M.sup..sym.1 and n are as defined in Claim 1, to processes for their preparation and to their use.

A tetrakisazo compound of the formula I ##STR38## in which ##STR39## and R.sup.1 is hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)-alkyl;
- R.sup.2 is hydrogen, (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)-alkyl or halogen;
- R.sup.3 and R.sup.3 ' independently of one another are hydrogen or (C.sub.1 -C.sub.4)-alkyl;
- M.sup..sym.1, M.sup..sym.2, M.sup..sym.3, M.sup..sym.4, M.sup..sym.5 and M.sup..sym.6 independently of one another are a cation;
- and
- n is 0 or 1.
