Abstract
There is disclosed a pharmaceutical composition for preventing or treating a retinal disease which comprises a compound of the formula (I): ##STR1## wherein n is an integer of 8 to 20.

A method for treating a retinal disease resulting from ischemia in the eye, selected from the group consisting of diabetes, retinopathy of prematurity, retinal vein obstruction, retinal artery obstruction, retinal detachment and senile disciform macular degeneration, which comprises administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a compound of the formula (I):
- ##STR3## wherein n is an integer of 8 to 20.
