Abstract
An apparatus for use during Magnetic Resonance imaging of a patient's breast region including a positioning device and an elongated radio frequency conductor. The breast positioning device contains a permanent cavity. The elongated conductor has a portion disposed within the cavity and a second portion extending around the torso region of the patient.
Claims10
An apparatus employed during imaging of the breast region of a patient in a medical magnetic resonance imaging system comprising:
- (a) a breast positioning device comprising a solid cushion having a surface containing a permanent cavity for receiving and positioning a patient's breasts;
- (b) an elongated conductor with a first portion disposed within said cavity, and with a second portion for extending around the torso region of said patient.
