Abstract
The invention relates to 1-Benzenesulfonyl-1,3-dihydroindol-2-one derivatives of the formula ##STR1## and their salts, where appropriate, to their preparation and to pharmaceutical compositions in which they are present. These compounds have an affinity for the vasopressin and/or ocytocin receptors.

A compound of the formula ##STR158## in which Alk is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl;
- Y is S;
- and
- R.sub.V is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, a C.sub.2 -C.sub.7 -alkenyl, an .omega.-halogeno-C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a polyhalogeno-C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a benzyl, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -acyl or an .omega.-carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl esterified by a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or a benzyl.
A compound of the formula ##STR159## in which:
- Alk is a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl;
- Y is O;
- and
- R.sub.v is a C.sub.3 -C.sub.7 -cycloalkyl, a C.sub.2 -C.sub.7 -alkenyl, an .omega.-halogeno-C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a polyhalogeno-C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl, a benzyl, a C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -acyl or an .omega.-carboxy-C.sub.1 -C.sub.7 -alkyl esterified by a C.sub.1 -C.sub.4 -alkyl or a benzyl.
