A near-azeotropic composition consisting essentially of 55 percent by weight percent pentafluoroethane, 40 weight percent 1,1,1-trifluoroethane, and about 5 percent by weight 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethane and having a vapor pressure of about 164.3 to about 176.3 psia at about 24.degree. C., wherein the composition exhibits a change in vapor pressure of less than about 6.8 percent after about 80 weight percent of the composition is lost by evaporation, and wherein the amount of 1,1,1-trifluoroethane in the vapor phase of the composition does not increase after about 85 weight percent of the composition is lost by evaporation.
