Golf bag with foam organizer

A golf bag, including

• a bag body with a cavity for holding golf clubs,
• said cavity having an open mouth in which a receptacle structure is disposed,
• said receptacle structure being relatively shallow so that it occupies less than 1/3 the length of the cavity, and including a top with a plurality of openings that receive golf clubs,
• said receptacle structure being made from a foam material which is water proof, having closed cells, and which has a density of no more than 12 pounds per cubic feet,
• said top having a first section at one level, a second section at an elevated level above said first section, and an intermediate section connecting said first and second sections,
• each said section including a partition wall that divides each section into approximately two equally sized openings which receive golf clubs,
• said partition walls of each section being aligned,
• said foam material having an exterior which is covered, at least partially, by thin, protective skin.

A golf bag which holds golf clubs, including

• a cavity in which a golf club receptacle structure made from a foam material is disposed,
• said receptacle structure having
• a central portion of substantially cylindrical configuration including a plurality of openings which extend in a lengthwise direction through said receptacle structure, each opening sized to receive only one golf club, and
• a marginal portion at a lower level than the central portion which surrounds, at least partially, said central portion, said marginal portion including a plurality of openings which extend in a lengthwise direction through said receptacle structure, each opening sized to receive only one golf club,
• said central section being elevated above said marginal section a sufficient distance so that the clubs received in the opening in the marginal section do not strike clubs in the opening in the central section
• said central section and the marginal section each having substantially flat tops in which the openings therein terminate.
