Abstract
An eyepiece having an apparent visual angle of 40.degree. or greater is provided, in succession from the eyepoint side, with a first lens unit G1 having positive refractive power, a second lens unit G2 having positive refractive power, and a third lens unit G3 having positive refractive power. The first lens unit G1 has a positive lens component, the second lens unit G2 has a positive lens component, and the third lens unit G3 has a cemented lens consisting of a positive lens component and a negative lens component. At least one of the lens surfaces of the first to third lens units G1 to G3 is formed into an aspherical shape.
