Film feeding control device for accurate alignment of film frames and camera aperture

A film feeding cessation control device, comprising:

• a film feeding device which feeds a film in which each frame has two perforations, said two perforations being spaced in a longitudinal direction of the frame and being positioned adjacent to respective ends of the frame;
• a control circuit which controls said film feeding device;
• and
• a perforation detection device which is fixedly located remote from a predetermined perforation-detection reference position by a predetermined distance upstream with respect to a direction in which the film is fed, said predetermined distance being an amount of overrun when film feeding is stopped, said perforation detection device producing a detection signal for causing said control circuit to stop film feeding of said film feeding device when said perforation detection device detects a predetermined perforation.

A film feeding cessation control method comprising:

• feeding a film in which each frame has two perforations, said two perforations being spaced in a longitudinal direction of the frame and being positioned adjacent to respective ends of the frame;
• detecting perforations of the film with a perforation detection device which is fixedly located remote from a predetermined perforation-detection reference position by a predetermined distance upstream with respect to a direction in which the film is fed, said predetermined distance being an amount of overrun when film feeding is stopped;
• detecting a predetermined perforation with said perforation detecting device;
• and
• producing a detection signal for stopping film feeding when said detecting detects said predetermined perforation.
