A preparation for lysing erythrocytes, characterized herein so far as the aqueous preparation with a substantially physiological ionic strength comprising a mixture: of an aliphatic aldehyde, of a polyhydric alcohol and, of a salt of a strong acid and of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal.

A preparation for lysing erythrocytes, characterized herein insofar as it concerns an aqueous preparation with a substantially physiological ionic strength comprising a mixture:
- of an aliphatic aldehyde,
- of a polyhydric alcohol and,
- of a salt of a strong acid and of an alkali metal or an alkaline earth metal.
