Abstract
A bath composition is disclosed, which comprises a xanthine derivative or a .beta.-adrenergic stimulants. The bath composition, as dissolved in bath water, gives a moist (fresh) feel to the skin and a warm feel to the body. A method for imparting a moist feel to the skin and improving a warm feel of the body is also disclosed.
Claims10
A method for imparting a moist feel to the skin and improving a warm feel of the body, which comprises bathing the body in a bath containing a bathing composition comprising at least one of a xanthine or a .beta.-adrenergic stimulant in an amount effective to achieve the functions of imparting a moist feel to the skin and improving a warm feel of the body.
A method comprising bathing the body in a bath containing a bathing composition comprising at least one of a xanthine or a .beta.-adrenergic stimulant in an amount effective to achieve the functions of imparting a moist feel to the skin and improving a warm feel of the body,
- wherein said xanthine is represented by formula (I):
- ##STR2## wherein R.sup.1 represents a methyl group or a hydrogen atom;
- R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group having 1 to 12 carbon atoms which may be substituted by one or two hydroxyl groups or alkanoyl groups having 2 to 10 carbon atoms,
- and salts thereof.
