Claims7
An apparatus for treatment of liquid to kill microbes therein comprising a liquid container having, in use an upper reservoir portion for holding said liquid and a lower elutriation portion for recovering liquid and structure defining first and second beds of particulate matter, the first bed comprising substantially insoluble povidone iodine and the second bed consisting essentially of substantially insoluble povidone;
- the beds being so formed and configured as to permit the passage of the liquid therethrough in intimate contact with the surfaces of the particles forming the respective beds.
