Abstract
Compounds which, per molecule, contain at least 2 benzazolyl groups are outstandingly suitable as UV absorbers for sunscreen compositions.
Claims5
In a sunscreen composition containing a UV absorber, the improvement wherein such UV absorber has its absorption maximum in the UV-A range, and per molecule contains at least two benzazolyl groups and at least one SO.sub.3 Y group in which
- Y is hydrogen, Li, Na, K, NH.sub.4, 1/2Ca, 1/2Mg, 1/3Al or the cation of an organic nitrogen base.
