Abstract
Dried proteins are stabilized against loss of biological activity in formulations by adding an reconstitution stabilizer upon rehydration of the dried protein. A kit for producing and a formulation produced by dissolving the dried composition in a solvent containing the reconstitution stabilizer is also described.

A process for preparing a formulation, which comprises admixing a dried protein with an effective amount of at least one reconstitution stabilizer under conditions effective to reduce aggregation of the dried protein upon reconstitution.
A kit for preparing an aqueous protein formulation comprising a first container having a dried protein and a second container having a reconstitution stabilizer.
