Abstract
A method for handling and stabilizing a (2-alkyl)-acryloyl isocyanate represented by the formula (1) ##STR1## is disclosed, which comprises the steps of: reacting an azomethine compound represented by formula (2) ##STR2## with the (2-alkyl)-acryloyl isocyanate of formula (1) to obtain the reaction product of formula (3) ##STR3## and dissolving said reaction product into a solvent to regenerate the (2-alkyl)-acryloyl isocyanate of formula (1); the identity of said solvent and R-groups being defined herein.
Claims10
A method for handling a (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate represented by formula (1) ##STR57## which comprises the steps of:
- reacting an azomethine compound represented by formula (2) ##STR58## with the (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate to obtain a reaction product and dissolving the reaction product into a solvent to regenerate the (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate;
- wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group,
- wherein
- R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an alkynyl group, and
- R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represents a hydrogen atom or a group which does not cause tautomerism with C.dbd.N in the formula, provided that at least one of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is not a hydrogen atom.
A method for stabilizing a (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate represented by formula (1) ##STR62## which comprises the steps of:
- preparing an azomethine compound represented by formula (2) ##STR63## and reacting the azomethine compound with the (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate to form a heterocyclic compound represented by formula (3) ##STR64## wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, wherein
- R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an alkynyl group, and
- R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represents a hydrogen atom or a group which does not cause tautomerism with C.dbd.N in the formula, provided that at least one of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is not a hydrogen atom,
- wherein R.sup.5, R.sup.6, R.sup.7, and R.sup.8 each is the same as R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3, and R.sup.4, respectively defined in the formulae (1) and (2) given above.
A heterocyclic compound represented by formula (3):
- ##STR65## wherein R.sup.5 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group,
- R.sup.6 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an alkynyl group, and
- R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 each represents a hydrogen atom or a group in which a carbon atom located in the .alpha.-position to carbon atoms constituting a heterocyclic ring does not have a hydrogen atom, provided that at least one of R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 is not a hydrogen atom.
A method for producing a heterocyclic compound represented by formula (3) ##STR66## which comprises the steps of:
- preparing a (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate represented by formula (1) ##STR67## preparing an azomethine compound represented by formula (2) ##STR68## and reacting the (2-alkyl)acryloyl isocyanate with the azomethine compound;
- wherein R.sup.1 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group,
- wherein R.sup.2 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an alkynyl group, and R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 each represents a hydrogen atom or a group which does not cause tautomerism with C.dbd.N in the formula, provided that at least one of R.sup.3 and R.sup.4 is not a hydrogen atom,
- wherein
- R.sup.5 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group,
- R.sup.6 represents an alkyl group, a cycloalkyl group, an aralkyl group, an alkenyl group, or an alkynyl group, and
- R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 each represents a hydrogen atom or a group in which a carbon atom located in the .alpha.-position to carbon atoms constituting a heterocyclic ring does not have a hydrogen atom, provided that at least one of R.sup.7 and R.sup.8 is not a hydrogen atom.
