Abstract
A multilevel electronic package comprising at least two levels, each level including a poly(aryl ether benzimidazole), a polymide and copper. A process of preparing this package is disclosed. Several novel poly(aryl ether benzimidazoles) useful in preparing this package are also set forth.
Claims4
A poly(aryl ether benzimidazole) selected from the group consisting of polymers having the structural formula ##STR14## where m is an integer of at least 2, and polymers having the repeating structural unit selected from the group consisting of ##STR15## where x is at least about 0.1;
- y is at least about 0.1, with the proviso that the sum of x and y is about 1;
- and z is an integer of at least about 15 and ##STR16## where X is ##STR17## and p is an integer of at least about 15.
A poly(aryl ether benzimidazole) having the structural formula ##STR18## where m is an integer of between about 5 and about 15.
A poly(aryl ether benzimidazole) having the structural formula ##STR19## where x is between about 0.6 and about 0.8;
- y is between about 0.2 and about 0.4;
- and z is an integer of between about 20 and about 30.
A poly(aryl ether benzimidazole) having the repeating structural unit ##STR20## where X is ##STR21## and p is an integer of at least about 15.
