Abstract
Macrolide compounds such as the FR-900506 and its related compounds are provided for the prevention or treatment of eye diseases, particularly, allergic conjunctivitis. Composition containing such compounds is also disclosed.

A method for preventing or treating allergic conjunctivitis, which consists essentially of administering a therapeutically effective amount of FK506 to mammals.
A pharmaceutical composition for allergic conjunctivitis, which consists essentially of a therapeutically effective amount of FK506 in admixture with a carrier or excipient.
