Abstract
A method is disclosed for treating opiate-addicted individuals to attentuate the withdrawal syndrome comprising administering the compound levamisole in a suitable pharmaceutical carrier.

A method for treating opiate withdrawal comprising the step of administering to an opiate-addicted individual a treatment comprising levamisole in an amount sufficient to attenuate at least one manifestation of the withdrawal syndrome.
