Use of 17.beta.-oestradiol in the treatment of coronary heart disease.

A method for the treatment of myocardial ischaemia which results from coronary heart disease, which comprises administration to a patient of an effective amount of 17.beta.-oestradiol.
A method of treatment of myocardial ischaemia which results from coronary heart disease, which comprises the steps of:
- diagnosing coronary heart disease in a patient;
- and then administering to said patient an effective amount of 17.beta.-oestradiol.
