Abstract
An optical disk with clock pits formed on tracks at predetermined intervals extending in a radial direction of the optical disk. Servo pits are arranged wobbly with respect to the tracks and auxiliary cock pits are arranged in such a manner that at least one auxiliary pit is provided in a non track region between two clock pits adjacent in the radial direction of the optical disk. A plurality of auxiliary clock pits may overlap one another to form an auxiliary clock groove.
Claims3
An optical data recording medium having a recording surface on which a plurality of tracks are formed creating non track regions in between said tracks, said optical data recording medium comprising:
- clock pits formed on said tracks at predetermined intervals;
- servo pits arranged wobbly with respect to said tracks;
- and
- auxiliary clock pit means located in said non track regions adjacent to said clock pits in a radial direction of said optical data recording medium.
