Abstract
A fluorine containing diester of an alkyl- or alkenylsuccinic acid having the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group, at least one of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is a fluoroalkyl or fluoroalkenyl group, the remaining of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is an alkyl or alkenyl group, k, l, m and n are 0 or an integer not less than 1, respectively, and k+l are an integer of not less than 2, which provides an excellent lubricating property under any environment from low humidity to high humidity, and is particularly suitable for use in a magnetic recording medium.
Claims2
A fluorine containing diester of an alkyl- or alkenylsuccinic acid represented by the general formula:
- ##STR11## wherein R.sub.1 represents an alkyl or alkenyl group, at least one of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 is a fluoroalkyl or fluoroalkenyl group, the remaining of R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 are an alkyl or alkenyl group, k, l, m and n are each 0 or an integer of 1 to 20, respectively, and k+1 is an integer of 2 to 20.
