Abstract
An unsaturated acid-functional monomer having the structure: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methyl and Z is nothing or is a divalent radical of 1 to about 20 carbons.
Claims8
An acid-functional polymer which comprises the free radical polymerization reaction product of:
- (i) 1% to 100% by weight of an unsaturated acid-functional monomer having the structure:
- ##STR6## wherein R.sup.1 is hydrogen or methyl and Z is nothing or is a divalent alkyl radical having 1 to about 20 carbon atoms;
- and
- (ii) 0% to 99% by weight of at least one other unsaturated monomer copolymerizable with the unsaturated acid-functional monomer.
