Abstract
Improved concentrated liquid pharmaceutical compositions containing acetaminophen wherein said acetaminophen is formed by adding a Beckman rearrangement catalyst to 4-hydroxyacetophenone oxime.
Claims18
A concentrated liquid pharmaceutical composition comprising:
- (a) from about 1% to about 50% of acetaminophen wherein said acetaminophen is formed by adding a Beckman rearrangement catalyst to 4-hydroxyacetophenone oxime, said catalyst having an electrophilic carbon atom at which said catalyst reacts with said oxime;
- (b) from about 20% to about 70% of a polyethylene glycol;
- (c) from about 1% to about 30% of a polyvinylpyrrolidine;
- and
- (d) from about 1% to about 10% of a propylene glycol.
