Abstract
Compounds corresponding to formula (I): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1 represents alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl, R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of one another represent H, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl, R.sub.4 represents alkylene or alkenylene, X represents CO or SO.sub.2, m 0 or 1 and l is a number of 1 to 5, as coupler solvents lead to steeper gradation and greater maximum densities.

A color photographic silver halide material comprising at least one color coupler, wherein said at least one color coupler is dissolved or dispersed in a compound corresponding to formula (I):
- ##STR24## in which R.sub.1 represents alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl,
- R.sub.2 and R.sub.3 independently of one another represent H, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl or cycloalkenyl,
- R.sub.4 represents alkylene or alkenylene,
- X represents CO or SO.sub.2,
- m 0 or 1 and
- l is a number from 1 to 5.
