Abstract
An apparatus for transporting a balustrade for a passenger conveying device includes a frame, a left support arm, and a right support arm. The right and left support arms are attached to the frame and include apparatus for attaching the escalator balustrade. The attaching apparatus attaches the transportation apparatus to the escalator balustrade, thereby enabling the balustrade to be transported.
Claims4
An apparatus for transporting a pair of aligned escalator balustrades for assembly onto an escalator, comprising:
- a frame;
- a left support arm, having means for attaching one of the escalator balustrades, attached to said frame;
- a right support arm, having means for attaching the other of the escalator balustrades, attached to said frame;
- wherein said attaching means attach said transporting apparatus to the escalator balustrades, thereby enabling the aligned pair of balustrades to be transported for installation onto the escalator.
