Abstract
A process for differentially determining .alpha.-amylase isoenzyme activities by the inhibitor method, in which 6.sup.3 -deoxymaltotriose (DOG3) represented by the formula ##STR1## is used as an inhibitor.
Claims8
In a process for differentially determining .alpha.-amylase isoenzyme activities, with use of a measured value of an .alpha.-amylase activity obtained by reacting a substrate for measuring the .alpha.-amylase activity with a sample and a measured value of an .alpha.-amylase activity obtained by reacting the same substrate and sample as above in the presence of an inhibitor which has different inhibiting constants against two kinds of .alpha.-amylase isoenzymes, the improvement which comprises using O-6-deoxy-.alpha.-D-glucopyranosyl-(1.fwdarw.4)-O-.alpha.-D-glucopyranosyl -(1.fwdarw.4)-D-glucose represented by the formula ##STR8## as an inhibitor.
