Electrophotosensitive material using a phenylenediamine derivative

An electrophotosensitive material comprising an electrophotosensitive layer, provided on a conductive substrate, said photosensitive layer is a multi-layer electrophotosensitive layer comprising:

• an electric charge generating layer containing an electric charge generating material;
• and
• an electric charge transferring layer containing a phenylenediamine derivative of the general formula, as an electric charge transferring material:
• ##STR20## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 are the same alkyl group;
• R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same alkyl group which is the same as or different from that of R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 ;
• and m, n, p and q are 1 or 2 at the same time.

An electrophotosensitive material comprising an electrophotosensitive layer, provided on a conductive substrate, said photosensitive layer is a multi-layer photosensitive layer comprising:

• an electric charge generating layer containing an electric charge generating material;
• and
• an electric charge transferring layer containing a phenylenediamine derivative of the general formula, as an electric charge transferring material:
• ##STR21## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 are the same alkyl or aryl group;
• R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same aryl group which is the same as or different from that of R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 ;
• and m, n, p and q are 1 at the same time.

An electrophotosensitive material formed from an electric charge generating material and a charge transferring material, said charge transferring material comprising;

• a phenylenediamine derivative of the general formula (1A):
• ##STR22## wherein R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 are the same alkyl group;
• R.sup.2 and R.sup.3 are the same alkyl group which is the same as or different from that of R.sup.1 and R.sup.4 ;
• and m, n, p and q are 1 or 2 at the same time.
