Process for producing microcapsules containing a diazonium salt compound and a photofixation thermal recording material employing the same

A photofixation thermal recording material comprising a support having thereon a recording layer comprising, in admixture, microcapsules containing a diazonium salt compound, a coupler which reacts with the diazonium salt compound to form a dye, and a basic compound, wherein the coupler and the basic compound are arranged outside the microcapsules, and wherein the microcapsules are prepared by a process comprising the step of adding an organic solvent solution containing both the diazonium salt compound and a polyfunctional isocyanate compound to an aqueous solution of a water-soluble polymer, emulsifying the organic solvent solution into the aqueous solution using an emulsifying agent, and then polymerizing the polyfunctional isocyanate compound to form microcapsule walls, said emulsifying agent comprising an alkyl glucoside represented by formula (I):
