Abstract
The invention relates to a compound selected from those of formula (I): ##STR1## in which R.sub.1, R.sub.2, R.sub.3 and A are as defined in the description, and medicinal product containing the same in order to treat a mammal afflicted with a peroxydation phenomenom.
Claims15
A compound selected from those of formula (I):
- ##STR20## in which:
- A denotes an alkylene chain --(CH.sub.2)m-- with m denoting 5 or 6 or a group of formula (a) ##STR21## in which p is 1 to 4, inclusive R.sub.1 denotes a radical chosen from:
- hydroxyl,
- thiol,
- --O--R.sub.4 with R.sub.4 being chosen from alkyl and acyl;
- and --S--R.sub.5 with R.sub.5 being chosen from alkyl, phenyl and benzyl;
- R.sub.2 denotes a radical chosen from hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy and trifluoromethyl;
- R.sub.3 denotes a radical chosen from acyl, carboxyalkyl and alkoxycarbonylalkyl;
- and, in the case where A is other than (CH.sub.2)m-- also hydrogen oralkyl;
- its optical isomers, in pure form or in mixed form, when R.sub.1, R.sub.2 or R.sub.3 have a chiral center,
- and its addition salts with a pharmaceutically-acceptable base, it being understood that the terms "alkyl", "alkoxy" and "acyl" denote linear or branched groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, inclusive.

A method of treating a mammal which is affected with a peroxidation phenomenon, comprising the step of administering to the said mammal an amount of a compound selected from those of formula (I):
- ##STR22## in which:
- A denotes an alkylene chain --(CH.sub.2)m-- with m denoting 5 or 6 or a group of formula (a) ##STR23## in which p is 1 to 4, inclusive, R.sub.1 denotes a radical chosen from:
- hydroxyl,
- thiol,
- --O--R.sub.4 with R.sub.4 being chosen from alkyl and acyl;
- and --S--R.sub.5 with R.sub.5 being chosen from alkyl, phenyl and benzyl;
- R.sub.2 denotes a radical chosen from hydrogen, halogen, alkyl, alkoxy and trifluoromethyl;
- R.sub.3 denotes a radical chosen from hydrogen, alkyl, acyl, carboxyalkyl, and alkoxycarbonylalkyl;
- its optical isomers, in pure form or in mixed form, when R.sub.1, R.sub.2, or R.sub.3 have a chiral center,
- and its addition salts with a pharmaceutically-acceptable base, it being understood that the terms "alkyl", "alkoxy" and "acyl" denote linear or branched groups containing 1 to 6 carbon atoms, inclusive,
- which is effective for alleviation of the said phenomenon.
