Abstract
The present invention provides fungicidal and insecticidal active compounds and derivatives thereof, fungicidal and insecticidal compositions comprising said compounds, processes for producing said compounds and the use of said compounds for controlling fungi and/or insects.
Claims18
A substantially pure strain of Pyrenophora teres IMI CC no. 351438 or a mutant thereof.
A substantially pure strain of fungal strain IMI CC no. 355496 or a mutant thereof.
A compound of formula I or a tautomer thereof:
- ##STR5## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methyl or acetyl, or R.sub.1 is sodium, potassium, lithium or any other agriculturally-acceptable salt;
- R.sub.2 is hydrogen or straight or branched C.sub.1-10 -alkyl;
- R.sub.3 is hydrogen or straight or branched C.sub.1-10 -alkyl;
- and
- R.sub.4 is hydrogen or methyl.
A compound of formula IV or a tautomer thereof:
- ##STR6## wherein R.sub.1 is hydrogen, methyl or acetate, or R.sub.1 is sodium, potassium, lithium or any other salt;
- R.sub.2 is hydrogen or straight or branched C.sub.1-10 -alkyl;
- R.sub.3 is hydrogen or straight or branched C.sub.1-10 -alkyl;
- and
- R.sub.4 is hydrogen or methyl;
- or a tautomer thereof.
