Abstract
Water containing detergent mixtures contain an alkyl and/or alkenyl polyglycoside and an anionic or nonionic surfactant selected from the group consisting of: (a) a narrow range fatty alcohol polyglycol ether, (b) a narrow range fatty alcohol ether sulfate, (c) a fatty acid alkanolamide ether sulfate, and (d) a monoglyceryl ether sulfate are superior detergents for dishwashing formulations and for cosmetics.
Claims5
An aqueous detergent composition in which the surfactant component thereof consists of (a) an alkyl or alkenyl polyglycoside of the formula I
- R.sup.1 O(G).sub.n (I)
- wherein R.sup.1 is an alkyl or alkenyl group containing from one to about 30 carbon atoms;
- G represents a moiety derived from a reducing saccharide containing 5 or 6 atoms;
- n is a number having an average value from 1 to about 6;
- and, (b) a narrow-range fatty alcohol ether sulfate, wherein component (a) is present in from about 30 to about 75% by weight based on the solids content of said composition and component (b) is present in from about 10 to about 70% by weight based on the solids content of said composition.
